Brentford have decided to recall defender Daniel Oyegoke from his loan spell at MK Dons. The youngster has now returned to the Gtech Community Stadium.

He was given the green light to join the League One side on a temporary basis in July to get some experience under his belt and was due to spend the whole campaign with the Buckinghamshire outfit. The England youth international made 18 appearances in all competitions for the Dons, 13 of which were starts, but has now seen his time at Stadium MK cut short.

The full-back isn’t the only player to head back to Brentford this month. Fin Stevens was recalled from Swansea City, whilst Mads Bech has also returned from OGC Nice.

Oyegoke had spells in the academies at Barnet and Arsenal before linking up with the Bees in July 2021. He penned a three-year deal with the London club, with the option for a further 12 months on top of that, and has since been a regular for the B team.

He is yet to make a senior appearance for Thomas Frank’s side but went with the first-team to Germany last summer for their pre-season training camp. Brentford have a decision to make on what to do with him this winter with the January transfer window now open again.

The Bees beat Liverpool 3-1 last night and are now 7th in the Premier League table. Next up is an FA Cup clash against West Ham this weekend.
