Brentford’s win against Norwich over the weekend brought an end to their eight-game winless run and breathed more life into their maiden Premier League campaign.
Now all attention will be to build on that against Burnley at the Brentford Community Stadium this weekend and this week’s training has been concentrated on that.

Double boost for Brentford and Thomas Frank
One major positive from the Norwich game was the form of lead striker Ivan Toney, who scored his first Premier League hat-trick to secure the win and ease the pressure on manager Thomas Frank. He has now scored nine league goals this season.
Toney had been out with a muscle injury and there were concerns that he would struggle to replicate his early season form, but he showed sharpness and finesse to seal the hat-trick and now the general consensus is that he will be in great physical and mental shape against Burnley.
From a psychological stand-point Brentford will go into the game as the favourites given the rioting Burnley suffered at the hands of Chelsea.

Thomas Frank will also be delighted with the role Christian Eriksen played in the first goal.
It was the Dane’s delivery that set up Toney’s 32nd-minute opener and it displayed Eriksen’s known quality from set-pieces
That tool will be another arsenal in the club’s armoury as they look to navigate more tricky games.

Following his emotional return as a substitute six days earlier - 259 days after his cardiac arrest at Euro 2020 in June - the former Tottenham midfielder made his first competitive start for Brentford and it will be interesting to see how Thomas Frank manages his minutes.
Brentford’s relegation fight
The win against Norwich means Brentford are six points above 18th-placed Burnley, and they will look to extend that when they meet this weekend.
There is a caveat because all the teams below the Bees have at least a game in hand, so they can’t afford to take their league position for granted.
Injury and suspension news ahead of Burnley
Brentford have no fresh injury concerns ahead of the game against Burnley.
Julian Jeanvier, Tarique Fosu (long term), Christian Norgaard and Joshua Dasilva are all still absent.
