For the four London clubs chasing European football this season, the weekend’s Premier League fixtures were a mixed bag.
While Tottenham have to wait until Monday evening to face struggling Everton, they will be fully aware that anything other than a win will see them lose precious ground on bitter rivals Arsenal after the Gunners picked up an entertaining 3-2 win over Watford on Sunday.
That result was made doubly valuable following West Ham’s 1-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday evening, while Chelsea further cemented their Champions League credentials with a relatively routine 4-0 victory against Burnley.
