Brentford set sights on Premier League winger along with Southampton and Leicester City
Brentford are reportedly keen on a move for Liverpool winger Ben Doak. According to a report by the Express, the Bees are interested in luring him down to London.
Arne Slot’s side are willing to let the player leave on loan and also haven’t shut the door completely on selling him permanently this summer. Leicester City and Southampton are also said to be admirers.

Hide AdDoak, who is 18-years-old, suffered a lateral meniscus tear last winter that required surgery. He has been sidelined since then but has returned for Liverpool for pre-season.
Brentford could see him as someone to compete for a place in their starting XI. Thomas Frank’s side are being patient with their recruitment so far in this window and have until the end of the month to bring in some new faces.
Doak played for Ayr United and Celtic before moving down to England in 2022. He had made two appearances for the first-team at Celtic Park.
The Scotland youth international has since played 10 times for Liverpool but could benefit from getting some regular game time elsewhere. He faces a lot of competition to get into Slot’s starting XI.

Greig has said: “My 14 years with Brentford have been the most rewarding and enjoyable of my career. When I walked through the door it was evident that there was a huge project ahead, however there was a clear vision and strategy in place to achieve that and it’s been an incredible journey.
“I’d like to place on record my thanks to the outstanding group of medical and performance staff that I’ve worked alongside during my time at the club along with many others, of whom there are too many to mention them all.
“I’d also like to thank Phil Giles and Thomas Frank for all the support they’ve shown me, particularly in the past few weeks as I reached this tough decision. I’m excited as to what the next chapter of my career will hold but will always look out for Brentford’s results and wish the club ongoing success.”

Hide AdDirector of Football Phil Giles said: “On behalf of everyone at Brentford I’d like to thank Neil for his outstanding contribution to the club. He has played a significant part in getting us to the Premier League and can be proud of his achievements.
“For example, Neil played a leading role in helping us to navigate through the Covid pandemic, ensuring that our player availability was very high, which in turn contributed to promotion in May 2021.
“He has been a trusted leader of the medical department who has given up many weekends and evenings to carry out medicals for new signings and help support the team.
“The role to which he is moving at Chelsea Women is a perfect fit for the next stage of Neil’s career, and we wish him well.”
