Chelsea 'target's' agent hits back as Tottenham 'edge closer' to £10m transfer windfall

Chelsea and Tottenham remain busy preparing for the new season, which begins in less than three weeks. Tottenham were back in action on Saturday when they took on a K-League XI in Seoul, coming out on top, while Chelsea are in action on Wednesday night when they face Club América.
Both teams have already begun adding to their respective squads, but we are still likely to see big signings made by both clubs by the time the summer transfer window draws to a close. Here we round up the transfer latest for the Blues and Spurs.

Hide AdOsimhen’s agent hits out
Napoli superstar Victor Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda has hit out at the media for the latest reports suggesting that his client has demanded an exit. Osimhen has been heavily linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain as well as Chelsea, but Calenda is not happy with the links.
He said: “I read about fanciful exchanges involving Victor. He’s being shipped here and there as if he were a package to be delivered quickly. This ‘package,’ however, is the top scorer of Napoli’s third Scudetto in history. Respect and stop with the fake news!”
Alvarez competition
Chelsea and PSG appear to have a similar taste in forwards. Having both been linked with a move for Osimhen this summer, Caught Offside are now reporting that if PSG miss out on Osimhen, they will turn to Manchester City forward Julian Alvarez.
Alvarez has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in recent days having admitted he is unhappy with his game time at the Etihad Stadium. Alvarez, who would cost around £67million this summer if he is to be sold, has told DIRECTV Sports: "I haven't stopped to think about what I'm going to do. When this [Argentina men's football campaign at the Olympics] is over I'll start thinking about what I want for myself. We'll see how things go.

In response, Pep Guardiola has said in response: "I knew that he [Álvarez] said that he is going to think about it. When he finishes thinking about it, his agent is going to call [City football director] Txiki [Begiristain] and we are going to see what happens. I know he wants to play in important moments but the others [do] too. I have 18 or 19 players that want to play important games. He played a lot but if he wants more, it's fine. When he thinks about it he'll inform us."
Reguilon interest
Sevilla are said to be pushing for a deal to land Tottenham outcast Sergio Reguilon ahead of the new season. According to Vamos Mi Sevilla, Sevilla chief Victor Orta is pushing for a deal to land the full-back, who is expected to move on permanently this summer.
Reguillon spent time on loan with Manchester United and Brentford last season, and it’s unclear how much Spurs will ask for him. Reports have suggested a deal could be done at just £10million, but those reports are unconfirmed at this point. What is for sure is that Tottenham won’t be making back the £32million they paid for the Spaniard.

Hide AdReguilon said of his Tottenham loan exit last summer: “During pre-season I was very happy and he [Postecoglou] was happy with me, also the staff. I was playing like a normal player, all the games. The week before, I went to see him. ‘You want me at the club?’ ‘Yes, I have to do a list and you are in my squad’. It was strange. The next day I was out of the training and I didn’t know what happened.”
