Brentford winger Bryan Mbuemo has reportedly attracted interest from Premier League rivals Newcastle United after an impressive start to the season for the Bees.
Mbeumo has scored eight Premier League goals in nine matches, making him the second-top scorer in the league behind only Erling Haaland who has 11 goals so far. It is unlikely that Brentford would sell the Cameroonian in January, but there is a chance he could leave in the summer due to his contract expiring in June 2026.

Due to the 25-year-old’s contract expiring in June 2026, the summer transfer window will be Brentford’s last time to cash in on Mbuemo like they did with David Raya and Ivan Toney. They could well be willing to sell him and use the £50 million to bolster their squad and look for the next big name for the Bees faithful to enjoy.
Newcastle face competition to sign Bryan Mbuemo
The Magpies aren’t the only Premier League team that have the winger in their sights, as Arsenal are also reportedly interested in signing Mbuemo. He has been tipped as the ideal candidate to provide some depth at the winger position and take some heat off Bukayo Saka, who the Gunners don’t want to overuse due to his importance in the side.
Furthermore, Liverpool are also said to be keeping tabs on Mbuemo, who they view as a possible replacement to Mohammed Salah whose contract expires at the end of the season. If no extension is agreed, the Reds could try and sign Mbuemo as his long-term replacement.

It could prove to be an exciting business move for the Bees, who could then use the money from the winger’s sale to invest in several players to strengthen their side.
