Hide AdFootball Insider are reporting that Arsenal are considering a move for the Brentford man, although a deal in January could be tricky as the Bees are hesitant to let such an important player leave in the middle of the season.
Former Manchester United scout Mick Brown told Football Insider: “I’ve heard Arsenal have been looking at him. I can see that move being a possibility. With the injury issues Saka has faced, it’s shown they need depth in that area. Mbeumo could provide that, but they also like the fact that he can play across the front three and provide cover behind the striker too.”
It is likely that if any move was to happen between Mbuemo and Arsenal, it could come next summer as the Gunners will look to reinforce their attacking options amid their constant chase of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.

The Brentford midfielder has shown plenty of quality so far this season as he has scored eight goals in nine Premier League games, making him the second-top scorer in the league ahead of the likes of Cole Palmer, Mohammed Salah and Ollie Watkins.
Furthermore, his success has made him a popular choice in Fantasy Premier League - Mbuemo is owned by 37.3% of players and the 25-year-old is currently the third highest scoring in the game, ahead of the likes of Bukayo Saka and Luis Diaz.
It is the Cameroonian’s best start to a season as a Brentford player as he already has one goal less than his total goals tally from last season (9). Since joining from Troyes in 2019, Mbuemo has made 210 appearances for the Bees with 58 goals and 42 assists.

How much could Arsenal pay for Mbuemo?
The 25-year-old’s contract at the Gtech Community Stadium expires in June 2026 meaning that in summer, he will have just one year left on his deal assuming that the Bees don’t extend his contract before then.
If that is the case, it would be the ideal time for Brentford to sell Mbuemo as his value will remain high and they will be able to cash in on him especially if he continues his exceptional form that he’s displayed.

Hide AdMbuemo’s estimated transfer value is around £33 million as things stand, but that could increase, especially if Brentford want to hold onto the midfielder. According to Football Insider, he could cost £40 million if sold next summer amid claims that Liverpool are also interested in Mbuemo.
