Brentford pair attracting transfer interest from elsewhere

Latest news on the Brentford transfer front involves two potential exits

Brentford pair Sergi Canos and Ellery Balcombe are both reportedly attracting interest from elsewhere. The duo could move on before the end of the month.

According to according to Super Deporte, Valencia are interested in luring Canos back to Spain this winter. The report claims the La Liga side are in ‘talks’ over a potential deal.

His deal at the Gtech Community Stadium expires at the end of the season and his minutes dried up this term under Thomas Frank. He has been a great servant to the club since joining back in 2017 and has made 249 appearances in all competitions. However, the 25-year-old will be wanting regular game time at this stage of his career.

Brentford have decided to recall goalkeeper Balcombe from his loan spell at League Two side Crawley Town. The former England youth international, who has previously had temporary stints with the likes of Boreham Wood, Burton Albion, Doncaster Rovers and Bromley, played 12 times for the Red Devils.

He is now said to be wanted by Bristol Rovers in League One, as per a report by Football League World. Joey Barton’s side are currently three points off the play-offs.

In other news, Sport Italia claim Brentford are keeping tabs on Salernitana’s Serie A midfielder Emil Bohinen. Southampton have also been credited with an interest.
