Goalkeeper latest

Brentford goalkeeper David Raya is expected to head out the exit door this summer amid links to other top flight teams such as Chelsea and Manchester United. However, 90min claim Tottenham Hotspur, who appeared to be making good strides in pursuit of him, may start to look for other options and are ‘no closer’ to agreeing a fee for the Spaniard. He only has a year left on his contract at the Gtech Community Stadium and his future is up in the air.

Defender on radar

The Bees are in ‘talks’ to sign PEC Zwolle defender Rav van den Berg, according to a report by the Daily Mail. The 18-year-old, who is a Holland youth international, is being tipped for a bright future in the game and has already broken into the first-team of his current club. He has made 32 appearances for the Dutch second tier outfit and they could face a battle to keep hold of him over the next couple of months amid interest from elsewhere.

International latest

Brentford defender Aaron Hickey played for Scotland in their 2-1 win away at Norway last time out as they look to qualify for the next European Championship. Steve Clarke’s side are back in action on Tuesday night against Georgia at Hampden Park.

He is looking forward to testing himself against Napoli attacker Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. He has said, as per STV: “We all know he is a top player. I am looking forward to it. It is going to be a challenge for me but the full team know we have to try shut him off as much as we can. When you come up against the best you go into the game knowing what you have to do and prepare yourself knowing that he is a top player.”
