Gabriel Jesus has some kind words for Arsenal fans after a storming start to life at the Emirates in the Premier League and in Europe.

The Brazilian swapped Manchester for London and has five Premier League goals already with Arsenal top of the table heading into the weekend’s clash against Liverpool.

Ahead of the game against Liverpool where the true strength of Mikel Arteta’s team will be required, the Brazilian forward says he’s already found home in north London after five and half years living in Manchester.

Jesus said: “In the first days when I signed here I went to a Brazilian restaurant.

“I was waiting in my car outside, and a lot of Arsenal fans came to say welcome to the club. It is different at Manchester City of course.

“Manchester City have had a lot of impact in the last 10, 15 years. Arsenal before that had a lot [more]. It’s different, you know. I feel that welcome, the way they come to talk to me.

“They are supporting you to the end. Exactly [it gives me confidence]. I was happy with the fans at City as well, but it’s different.”

Arsenal lost out to Tottenham in the race for top four last season but have started this campaign like a house on fire with many tipping them to challenge both Liverpool and Manchester City for the title.
