A former Arsenal and Chelsea centre-forward could be on the move in the summer. Olivier Giroud, whose AC Milan contract is due to expire in the summer, is said to be in advanced talks to join LAFC in the MLS when the transfer window opens its doors.

According to a report from The Athletic, LAFC and Giroud have yet to reach an agreement, but they confirmed that talks are taking place between the two parties. It is unclear as to whether Milan will offer the 37-year-old a new deal - but given his age, it seems unlikely.

Giroud played for Arsenal between the years of 2012 and 2018, joining from Montpellier for a reported fee of £9.6 million. He made 180 Premier League appearances during his time at the Emirates Stadium, scoring 73 goals along the way. While he was with the Gunners, he won three FA Cups and three Community Shields.

Additionally, he has also been a fantastic servant to the French national team over the years. He has scored 56 international goals in 128 appearances for Les Bleus, making him their all-time top goal scorer - ahead of legendary figures such as Thierry Henry, Michel Platini and Karim Benzema.

What has Olivier Giroud been doing since he left Arsenal?

When Giroud left Arsenal in January of 2018, he joined Chelsea for an undisclosed fee. He went on to make 75 appearances for the Blues, scoring 17 Premier League goals for them. He was also part of the Champions League winning squad in 2021, though he did not come off the bench during the final against Manchester City.

Following this, Giroud joined AC Milan in 2021. He enjoyed a decent level of success at the San Siro Stadium, making 88 appearances and scoring 36 goals to date. Could LAFC be the Frenchman's next destination?
