Club 'have made a move' for Arsenal defender after rejecting bid for Mikel Arteta summer target
Arsenal summer target Sacha Boey is back in the spotlight as we approach the final days of the winter transfer window. The Gunners have been linked with the French right-back for months and reportedly had an £18 million bid for him rejected at the end of last season.
Mikel Arteta's side, among other clubs, are now back on the trail for Boey but Galatasaray want €35 million (£30m) for the 23-year-old. Bayern Munich are Arsenal's main competitors, as they have already had two bids knocked back for Boey's signature.

Hide AdAccording to Turkish outlet Fanatik, the Bundesliga side initially offered €15 million (£13m) and then improved their amount to €25 million (£21m) in attempt to bring the defender to Germany, but neither bids cut the mustard for Galatasaray.
Now, the club have apparently thrown a curveball into the mix while they consider the offers being put forward for Boey. The report claims that the 23-time Turkish league champions 'have made a move' for Arsenal's Cédric Soares, likely in attempt to replace the exit-linked Boey.
Soares spent the second half of last season on loan with Fulham after falling drastically down the pecking order. The 32-year-old is now into the last six months of his contract with Arsenal, and with just three appearances on the board across all competitions this season, his summer departure seems very likely.
However, Galatasaray could offer both Soares and Arsenal a lifeline with a January move, but they are assessing other options as well as the Portuguese right-back. They are also being rivalled by Beşiktaş, who have joined the interested parties keeping tabs on Soares as we approach the winter window Deadline Day.
Galatasaray seem to be firm on their £30m asking price for Boey, but if the Gunners throw in Soares, they could even convince the club to part ways with this high profile Arteta target.
