More is expected to come, and here we round up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding the Emirates Stadium.

Gyokeres latest

Arsenal are still working away as they look to agree a deal for Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres this summer. The negotiations have rumbled on for weeks, but there is a degree of inevitability about the ongoing talks.

According to Ben Jacobs, Arsenal are now on the verge of reaching a full agreement with Sporting for the superstar striker, and their biggest and perhaps most important summer signing is within arms’ reach. It’s claimed Arsenal are looking to reach an agreement worth £55million upfront and a further £8.7million in add-ons.

Simons interest

Arsenal are being linked with a move for RB Leipzig attacking midfielder Xavi Simons, but Fabrizio Romano claims there have been no formal talks or bids at this point. Leipzig are said to be asking for at least £52million to sell their talented 22-year-old.

Romano wrote on X: “Chelsea and Arsenal among clubs attentive to Xavi Simons situation this summer. He’s prepared to leave Leipzig as revealed since May and Premier League top clubs are informed. No bids or talks yet. Nothing concrete with Barca so far."

Henry on Arsenal’s title credentials

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has been discussing his former club’s chances of finally ending their Premier League title drought in the coming season. He said on the Men in Blazers podcast: “Do I think that Mikel Arteta is doing a great job? Tremendous job! Do I think he should get the sack? Hell no! Am I going to think that we’re going to win the league this year? Yes! It’s been good. It’s got to be better.

“I do understand when people are just saying now, ‘are we going to go over the line?’ I understand the question now, when people are like five years, second, second, second, we came short. That doesn’t mean we’re going to come short again. You’re not going to win all the time. But to be in a situation to win, you need to be, first and foremost, in a situation to know how to win. That’s what they’ve done recently. And hopefully they can go over the line.”

Madueke on his best position

After arriving on a big-money deal from Chelsea, Noni Madueke spoke about his best position. He told the Arsenal club website: “I try and be a dual threat from the left and from the right. Of course, it's a little different when I play on the left or when I play on the right, but it doesn't really matter to me where I play.

“I only really have one thought in my mind when I get the ball to feet or in space, it is just to line up the full-back and go past him, so that's definitely one of my main strengths.”
