Midfielder on radar

Arsenal are showing ‘interest’ in Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia, according to the Daily Mail. The report also adds that fellow top flight club Manchester United are also keen on luring the youngster away from Hampshire in the next transfer window.

Lavia, 19, only joined the Saints last summer but has established himself as a first-team regular this season. Despite his side sitting bottom of the league at the moment, he has been a shining light for them this term and they could face a real battle to keep hold of him this summer with other English teams in the frame to land his signature.

MLS ace eyed

Arsenal have reportedly been tracking the progress of Orlando City winger Facundo Torres in MLS. According to reporter Fabrizio Romano in his column with CaughtOffside, the Gunners have ‘followed’ the attacker over recent times but are yet to make a move.

Torres, 22, has been a hit since making the switch to America in January last year and has fired in 13 goals for his current club. They have tied him down to a new deal recently but he is attracting attention from Europe
