According to a report by Faro de Vigo, Celta Vigo attacking midfielder Gabri Veiga is being ‘closely followed’ by Arsenal after his impressive season in La Liga. The 20-year-old, who is being tipped for a bright future in the game, has scored eight goals so far this term.

The Gunners could see him as someone to bolster their squad in the long-term and keep a tentative eye on potential summer targets. He has been on the books of his current club for his whole career to date and rose up through their academy before breaking into the first-team.

Competition for target

Arsenal will have to see off competition from league rivals Manchester United if they are to win the race to land Declan Rice from fellow London club West Ham. According to Football Insider, the Carabao Cup winners are ‘hopeful’ of luring the England international to Old Trafford at the end of this campaign.

Rice, 24, is expected to move on from the Hammers for a club in the Champions League in the near future. His contract at the London Stadium expires in June 2024 and David Moyes’ will no doubt look to bag the best possible fee for his services.
