Reports circulated that the midfielder would not return this season, which would have been a big blow for the Gunners after losing Kieran Tierney for the remainder of the campaign.

“We will have to be careful and I can’t give you a time frame.”

The 28-year-old has since missed games against Brighton Hove and Albion, Southampton. the potentially season-defining win at Chelsea and the 3-1 win over Manchester United.

These two games will test the character of Arsenal and Arteta would love to have his star Ghanaian midfielder back in the squad for the battle.

He joined Arsenal two season ago from Spanish side Atletico Madrid for £45.3million, and even though he’s shown his skill and value to the Gunners injuries seems to hold him back when he threatens to step things up.

His latest injury at Selhurst Park came at a time when he was enjoying his best form for the club.

Even though Egyptian Mohamed Elneny has stepped in and done a great job, Partey just offers more options when playing.

Arsenal are currently fourth in the league table and two points ahead of fifth placed Tottenham, who they will play next month to decide who gets the final Champions League place.

The Gunners are riding high on confidence after they beat both Chelsea and Manchester United in the same week.

Even though they will be without their dependable left-back Tierney, the return of Partey should soften the blow and lift the team to achieve their top four hopes.
