With less than a week until transfer deadline day, Arsenal will be keen to get a couple of moves over the line in order to bolster their squad.
The Gunners are embroiled in a Premier League title race, as they sit six points behind Liverpool, who also have a game in hand this week. Mikel Arteta’s side won 1-0 against Wolves in their last Premier League game, keeping pace with the Reds, who beat Ipswich Town.

According to recent transfer rumours, this is what Arsenal’s starting XI could look like after January if they manage to get deals over the line this week...
Arsenal refrain from defensive signings
GK- David Raya
Defenders - Jurrien Timber, Gabriel, William Saliba, Riccardo Calafiori
Arsenal haven’t been linked to strengthening their defence in recent weeks, and for good reason considering the quality that they already have.

Last season, David Raya came away with the Golden Glove award, as Arsenal kept the most clean sheets in the division. With their current line-up at the back, there is no reason why it can’t happen again.
Arsenal secure £51m-rated midfielder
Midfielders - Declan Rice, Martin Odegaard, Martin Zubimendi
The Gunners currently have two very strong, and expensive central midfielders in the form of Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard. They both have creative flair, helping Arteta’s side to create goal-scoring chances game after game.

Arsenal reportedly paid Zubimendi’s £51m release clause earlier in January, and the Spaniard will come in and cement himself in the defensive midfield spot at Arsenal. It likely means that the Gunners aren’t going to sign Thomas Partey to a new contract however, as he is due to become a free agent in the summer.
Arsenal land marquee striker and Bukayo Saka replacement
Wingers - Antoine Semenyo, Gabriel Martinelli
Striker - Ollie Watkins
Firstly, the Gunners are struggling for depth in attacking areas at the moment, with Bukayo Saka out until late March at the earliest with a hamstring injury. They have been linked with Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo, who could replace Saka whilst he is out injured.
Semenyo is likely to cost the Gunners around £50m should they make a move for him. He’s scored seven goals and contributed three assists for the Cherries this season, helping them to become outsiders for a European football spot.

Hide AdGabriel Martinelli will likely keep his place in the starting XI, rotating with the likes of Leandro Trossard and Raheem Sterling. But they could have a new striker.
Regarding a striker, Arsenal made a shock bid for Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins on Wednesday. They offered £60m for the England international, but Villa rejected the approach.
Watkins is a boyhood Arsenal fan, meaning that the Gunners may be able to tempt him to join at the Emirates. However, reports have suggested that a fee has been agreed between Villa and Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr for Jhon Duran. It is unlikely that Unai Emery will want to lose both of his star strikers in the same transfer window by selling Duran and Watkins.
