Arsenal produce 10-man striker 'shortlist' - including Chelsea, Man Utd and Real Madrid targets

Arsenal have put together a 10-man 'shortlist' of striker targets ahead of the summer transfer window.

Arsenal are looking to strengthen their attacking ranks next season - in preparation, Gunners sporting director Edu has compiled a ten-man shortlist of strikers that he wants to sign in the summer transfer window, according to a report from the Daily Mirror.

While Arsenal already have four players in their team who can occupy the centre-forward position - Gabriel Jesus, Eddie Nketiah, Kai Havertz and Leandro Trossard - they all have their own issues. Havertz and Trossard are often put to their best use in other roles, while Nketiah perhaps isn't up to the standard that Mikel Arteta would like him to be.

Jesus, meanwhile, is the best of the bunch - but his inconsistent form, coupled with his less-than-desirable injury record make him an unreliable option at best. Due to this, it makes perfect sense for the Gunners to add quality strikers to their squad in the summer.

Who are the players on Arsenal's ten man transfer shortlist?

Perhaps the most notable player on the list is Napoli hitman Victor Osimhen. The Nigerian international star is expected to leave Gli Azzurri in the summer, with a slew of clubs interested in snapping him up - including Manchester United, Chelsea, PSG and Real Madrid.

As well as Osimhen, stars such as Brian Brobbey, Viktor Gyokeres, Alexander Isak, Evanilson, Santiago Gimenez, Victor Boniface and Lois Openda, Benjamin Sesko and Ivan Toney are also on the list. Of these names, Toney and Gyokeres stand out - they are both in the sights of Chelsea, which could lead to a fierce bidding war between the two bitter rivals.

Isak is also an interesting one - Newcastle are no slouches financially, but have hit a brick wall in terms of FFP spending. To counteract this, they could sell one of their top stars - and the Swedish international is certainly one of them.
