Arsenal are reportedly ‘weighing’ up a summer swoop for Galatasaray wing-back Sacha Boey but face competition from an unnamed league rival, as reported by The Sun. The 22-year-old, who is a former France youth international, has caught the eye playing in the Turkish Super Lig over the past two years and his current club could face a battle to keep hold of him over the next couple of months amid interest from elsewhere.
Boey started his career at Rennes in France and broke into their first-team as a youngster before Galatasaray lured him over to Turkey back in 2021. He has since become a key player for the Turkish giants and helped them win the league title in this past season.
Defender to depart
Arsenal defender Auston Trusty is ‘set’ to ‘leave’ the Emirates Stadium in the upcoming transfer window on a permanent basis, as per a report by Football London. The USA international is expected to head out the exit door following his loan spell at Birmingham City in the Championship in the last campaign and Scottish Premiership giants Rangers are believed to be keen on luring him up to Ibrox to boost their defensive department.
The Gunners signed the 24-year-old in January last year from Colorado Rapids and immediately sent him back to the MLS club. He was then given the green light to move to St. Andrew’s on a temporary basis in July 2022.
