Arsenal keep going from strength to strength on the pitch with Premier League title success inching closer and closer but Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is missing key players to injury.

Both Eddie Nketiah and Leandro Trossard are nursing niggles which may keep them out of Thursday's Europa League meeting with Sporting Lisbon. Meanwhile, Gabriel Jesus has been seen back in training but the manager won't want to risk the Brazilian ahead of time after such a long period off.

Whatever happens at the end of this Premier League season, Arteta and the Arsenal board will no doubt want to bolster the squad to sustain success. The ongoing project at the Emirates Stadium certainly looks to be one of the most exciting in world football and could bring some huge household names to North London.

Here are the latest Arsenal transfer rumours...

Contact made for out-of-favour Real Madrid winger

Spanish winger Marco Asensio is out of contract at the Bernabeu this summer and seems unlikely to stay on having only played a full 90 minutes twice in La Liga this year for Real Madrid.

The star is said to be 'very angry' at the situation and The Mirror has reported that Mikel Arteta is ready to capitalise on the situation.

Asensio's agents are claimed to have flown to London in February to scout out a potential next club for their star who is also attracting interest from AC Milan and Barcelona.

Arsenal lining up swap deal for Juventus star

Arsenal are contemplating offering full-back Takehiro Tomiyasu to Juventus as part of a swap deal to bring defender Gleison Bremer to the Emirates.

Bremer only signed for the Italian giants last summer for £36 million and has been in fine form.

However, Juve could consider letting him go this summer as they fight financial difficulties, slapping a £44 million price tag on their main man.

Italian outlet Calciomercatoweb has reported that the news has piqued the interest or Arteta and Arsenal, who could throw in Tomiyasu in a bid to lower the asking price.
