Arsenal stunned Bournemouth to come back from two goals down and beat the Cherries thanks to a 97th minute strike from Reiss Nelson.

Philip Billing opened the scoring with the Premier League's second fastest ever goal on 9.11 seconds, and went 2-0 up when Marco Sensi headed past Aaron Ramsdale on 57 minutes.

Thomas Partey pulled one back with just over 25 minutes to go, before Ben White struck an effort over the line eight minutes later.

Nelson’s last second winner prompted jubilant celebrations from the Arsenal fans and manager Mikel Arteta, who celebrated with his players after running down the sidelines.

Here are the player ratings from the match...

Aaron Ramsdale (6)

Made a great save in the first half to deny Bournemouth a second goal. Similar story in the second half as he stopped Solanke’s effort.

Takehiro Tomiyasu (4)

Had a poor first half and has looked off the boil in recent appearances. Tends to hold on to the ball for too long and it wasn’t a surprise to see White replace him at half time.

Gabriel (5)

Won the majority of his duels in the game and came out of the game with a 96 per cent pass accuracy rate. Despite those numbers, his defending on the first goal was disappointing.

William Saliba (5)

Similar to Gabriel in the sense that his numbers from the game looked good, but Arsenal’s centre back pairing shouldn’t be exposed as they were against a relegation-threatened side.

Oleksandr Zinchenko (6)

Made four key passes in the game and improved in the second half.

Thomas Partey (7)

A vital goal and strong second half performance. Important for Arsenal to have him injury free.

Fabio Vieira (6)

A decent performance. Three key passes, 91 per cent pass accuracy and certainly deserved his start after recent impressive cameo appearances.

Martin Odegaard (7)

Another solid midfield performance from Arsenal’s captain. Won six out of his eight ground duels and record three key passes in the game.

Bukayo Saka (6)

Certainly wasn’t his best game but he still offers a continuous attacking threat for Arsenal. Won 7 out of his 12 ground duels, which shows how much he contributes defensively.

Leandro Trossard (6)

Only played 22 minutes and touched the ball 17 times before coming off injured.

Gabriel Martinelli (7)

Featured as the no.9 in the second half and produced a similar performance to Saka. May not have scored or assisted, but his teammates did the job for him in the end.

Emile Smith Rowe (6)

Registered his first assist of the season but came off shortly after with an injury. He’ll be hoping that he’s not set for an extended spell on the sidelines.

Reiss Nelson (9)

Made a huge difference after coming on and provided the assist for Ben White’s equaliser. He was quoted as saying he wants to stay at the club and his last minute goal will surely help his cause.

Ben White (8)

An immediate impact from the Englishman and what could be a vital goal in the title race.
