Arsenal are now just days away from kicking off their new Premier League season, facing Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

The Gunners will be hoping to go one better in their title bid this season, and expectations will be at al all-time high after big spending this summer. Arsenal have spent more than £200million this summer, bringing in the likes of Jurrien Timber, Declan Rice and Kai Havertz, and there is still time for more incomings and outgoings before the end of the summer transfer window.

With that in mind, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding the Emirates Stadium.

Ansu Fati interest

Arsenal are said to have submitted a ‘very tempting proposal’ to sign Barcelona star Ansu Fati.

According to Sport, the Gunners are interested in signing the 20-year-old this summer, but they are unlikely to break Barcelona’s resolve as they look to keep hold of Fati.

The report read: “Arsenal has been one of the last clubs that have taken a serious interest in the player and they made it known with a very tempting offer. This proposal has been rejected by both the player and the club. There is no case.”

Partey priced out of move

Arsenal are said to have priced Juventus out of a deal for Thomas Partey.

Partey is expected to move on this summer after the signing of Rice, but according to Tuttosport, Juve are no longer likely to sign him due to a problem with the asking price. There is no mention of the asking price, but it’s reported that Juventus don’t see the price as justified for a 30-year-old player.

Arsenal could do with incoming cash after racking up such a large spending bill, but they may struggle to secure the windfall with their current expectations.
