Arsenal are on cloud nine after a superb win over Manchester United to boost their title hopes.

Caicedo race

Arsenal are said to be keen on landing a slice of revenge after missing out on now Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk.

According to the Evening Standard, the Gunners are now looking to land Brighton star Moises Caicedo in the summer, with Chelsea yet to pull the trigger on the highly-rated midfielder. Arsenal do need to strengthen their midfield, and they may well invest in that area this summer.

Chelsea and Liverpool have been linked with Caicedo, who has been superb for the Seagulls this season. It seems Arsenal may now looking to take charge of the race, and Caicedo does fit the profile, still only 21 years of age.

Midfield solution

Arsenal are now said to be considering a somewhat temporary solution to one of their issues this January.

According to 90min, the Gunners are now considering signing Juventus and USA star Weston McKennie during this window, and initially on a loan deal. With McKennie still trying to prove himself on the big stage, Arsenal are said to want to do a loan deal with an option to buy.

That could be the perfect solution to Arsenal’s midfield dilemma, with the Gunners looking to add depth to their midfield without spending a huge fee this January, given they also want to add a winger.
