Arsenal are targeting Club Brugge forward Ferran Jutgla, according to Media Foot.

The striker only joined the Belgian club in the summer but his brilliant start to the season has attracted interest from elsewhere.

Jutgla’s form with Barcelona’s B team led to Club Brugge snapping him up in June for only €5m and he has since bagged nine goal contributions in ten league matches, as well as scoring twice in their opening three Champions League group stage matches.

Arsenal have already been linked with a number of forwards as they look to bolster their attack, despite bringing in Gabriel Jesus in the summer.

With Eddie Nketiah currently the Gunners’ only back-up option in that position, they are keen on bringing in Jutgla despite his recent transfer.

The 23-year-old signed a four-year deal with Club Brugge in June, however there is no guarantee he will remain in Belgium for much longer if Arsenal were to solidify their interest.

However, the London club would also face competition from Atletico Madrid, who were impressed by the forward’s performance against them in the Champions League earlier this week.

While the Premier League may be very tempting for Jutgla, the prospect of returning to Spain may had Atleti the advantage in their pursuit.

It would also be difficult for the Spaniard to dislodge Jesus from the starting line-up after his impressive start, while his future in Madrid would be clear with Alvaro Morata soon to join Antoine Griezmann in his thirties.
