Arsenal ‘courting’ Newcastle United target and ‘interested’ in Greek wonderkid

Arsenal have been linked with a flying Mexican winger, as have Newcastle - the Gunners have also reportedly joined the race to sign a Greek prospect.

Arsenal remain at the top of the Premier League, with their next league outing being against Spurs on January 15. They will also play Oxford United on the FA Cup on January 9 - in the meantime, who are the Gunners looking to sign in the winter window?

Arsenal have been linked with a Mexican winger who currently plays for Napoli. They’re not the only team who are thought to be interested - Newcastle are also reportedly taking a look at the 27-year-old.

Elsewhere, Arsenal are one of multiple big clubs who are believed to be in pursuit of a Greek wonderkid. Currently playing for PAOK, Manchester City and Chelsea are also looking at him, according to reports.

Arsenal and Newcastle linked with Hirving Lozano

Arsenal and Newcastle are monitoring Napoli’s Hirving Lozano, according to La Repubblica. He has expressed an interest to join the Premier League in the past - with two huge English clubs reportedly in pursuit, he could get his dream move. Lozano’s contract at Napoli is set to expire in the summer of 2024 despite this, Napoli are reportedly working on a renewal.

This season, Lozano has scored three goals and notched up three assists across 15 games in Serie A. He also featured in the 2022 Qatar World Cup for his native Mexico - however, he failed to score a goal across three games.

Gunners one of several clubs chasing Giannis Konstantelias

Arsenal, alongside a slew of other clubs, are reportedly interested in signing Giannis Konstantelias (per the Evening Standard). The other clubs thought to be interested are Manchester City, Crystal Palace, Leeds United, Wolves, PSV, Chelsea and Valencia.

As such, the Gunners face plenty of competition to secure his signature. Aged just 19, Konstantelias has made 11 appearances for PAOK this season, racking up three assists in the Greek Super League.

While he has yet to make an appearance for Greece’s national team, he has turned out for their youth teams on five different occasions, scoring one goal. Used primarily as a winger, could he soon be on his way to the Emirates Stadium?
