It’s now July which means the summer transfer window has been open for a few weeks and the return of the Premier League is only just over one month away.

Clubs across England have two months remaining to complete their summer business and Arsenal are expected to complete what could be one of the biggest deals of the summer sooner rather than later. The Gunners are understood to be close to confirming Declan Rice’s £105 million move from West Ham and one outlet has seemingly revealed when supporters can expect and official announcement.

Elsewhere, sensational headlines this morning claim that the North London club are ‘considering’ a move for French superstar Kyllian Mbappe. Here are the latest Arsenal transfer news stories on Saturday, July 1:

Arsenal ‘considering’ sensational Kylian Mbappe move

According to Football Transfers, Arsenal are weighing up a move for Kylian Mbappe in 2024. The online news outlet has apparently been told that the Paris Saint-Germain attacker is ‘admired’ by the Premier League club and that they ‘are considering whether or not to send a package to the Frenchman’s representatives.’

The Frenchman will be out of contract next summer and, if he fails to agree a new deal at the Parc de Princes, there will likely be huge interest from the Premier League, Europe’s other biggest clubs and likely further afield. It is thought that Real Madrid would be the most likely destination.

Declan Rice announcement date confirmed?

Arsenal are understood to be putting the finishing touches on a £105 million deal to sign Declan Rice from West Ham. With personal terms reportedly agreed between the Gunners and the England international as well as a fee with the Hammers, all that remains is for the final details of the payment structure.

According to The Sun, West Ham ‘hope’ to have the terms of the deal agreed by Monday (July 3) which will then give Arsenal the opportunity to complete the deal and officially announce Rice’s signing.
