Arsenal have added to their attacking ranks this week with the signing of Kai Havertz from Chelsea ahead of a big Premier League campaign for the club.

Many Gunners supporters saw confirmation of that move on Twitter before announced by the club and, once again, the social media platform seems to be the source of transfer news today.

Here are the latest transfer rumours around Arsenal ahead of the weekend.

Arsenal striker shares cryptic transfer message

Young Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun appears to have had enough of the questions over his role under Mikel Arteta with a cryptic Tweet sharing his feelings.

The 21-year-old rose through the Arsenal youth system and was shipped out on loan to Reims last season, where he netted an impressive 21 Ligue 1 goals in 37 appearances

Balogun is to return to London this summer but with Arteta adding Kai Havertz to his forward options after landing Leandro Trossard in January, reports suggested Balogun wasn't in the Spaniard's plan.

Taking to Twitter to write 'it's time' alongside an hourglass emoji, it appears that Balogun is ready to make a decision about his future at the Emirates Stadium.

Chelsea star vehemently shoots down Arsenal transfer

Chelsea full-back Reece James has vehemently shot down any potential transfer to Arsenal after the Gunners secured the arrival of Kai Havertz from their London rivals.

Arsenal hadn't been linked with a move for the England international this summer but the defender has made it clear that should Mikel Arteta come knocking, he won't be leaving Stamford Bridge.

One Arsenal fan took to Twitter to suggest that his club make a move for the attacking Chelsea full-back. When the message caught James' typed out an abrupt message to make his thoughts on the north London side clear. The 23-year-old wrote: "I say no."

Read by some fans as a side-eye swipe at Havertz, the message was then shared by the Chelsea club account with the caption 'one of our own'.
