The Gunners will continue with Aaron Ramsdale between the sticks, while Ben White and Gabriel are expected to start in defence with William Saliba and Oleksandr Zinchenko.

In midfield, Granit Xhaka is likely to continue in his deep-lying midfield role, with Thomas Partey partnering him in the central midfield position if the Ghana midfielder is deemed fit enough to start. Otherwise, Jorginho will continue.

In attacking midfield, Martin Odegaard is likely to feature, providing the creative spark and vision needed to unlock the Everton defence.

On the flanks, Bukayo Saka is expected to start on the right, with Gabriel Martinelli occupying the left-wing role. Both players have shown their ability to make an impact going forward and their pace and trickery will be key at Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night.

Up front, Leandro Trossard could continue after another impressive display against Leicester at the weekend, with his link play and creativity crucial in the final third.

The Gunners have won only one of their previous four home games but face a relegation-threatened Everton side who lost their last league encounter against Aston Villa.

Arsenal predicted XI: Ramsdale, White, Gabriel, Saliba, Zinchenko, Xhaka, Partey, Odegaard, Saka, Martinelli, Trossard.
