Winger linked

Arsenal are being linked with a summer swoop for Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling. According to a report by 90min, the London club are ‘interested’ in luring him to the Emirates Stadium at the end of this season to add more competition and depth to their attacking department.

Sterling, 28, knows Arteta from when the Spaniard was a coach at Manchester City under Pep Guardiola. The England international made the move to Stamford Bridge last July and has since scored six goals in 24 appearances in all competitions to date for the Blues.

Midfielder on radar

Arsenal are among a couple of other Premier League sides who are said to be keen on Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. The Serbia international, who was at the World Cup earlier this winter in Qatar with the Serbia national team, has played for his current club since 2014 and could be eyeing up a new challenge.

Italian news outlet CalcioMercato say Arteta’s side are admirers along with fellow English clubs West Ham United and Newcastle United. He has played 30 games so far this term and has chipped in with six goals from midfield.
