The Blues have been linked with a whole host of names as the winter trading period prepares to open for business - but one new name said to be on the agenda is Girona and Ukraine striker Artem Dovbyk. The 26-year-old frontman has scored 11 goals in 17 games since joining Girona from Dnipro during the summer transfer window and has played a lead role in helping his new club put in a surprising challenge for the La Liga title.

The Sun have reported Chelsea have identified Dovbyk as the striker that can add ‘weight’ to their frontline and are hoping to take advantage of the striker’s friendship with international team-mate and current Blues winger Mykhailo Mudryk. The report also states Chelsea will allow Armando Broja to depart Stamford Bridge to facilitate a move for Dovbyk, who is said to be valued at around £39m by La Liga’s surprise package.
