Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly told a trio of senior team players that they can leave the club ahead of the upcoming January transfer window - they are Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Eric Dier and Hugo Lloris.
This is according to a report from Football Insider, who say that all three are in the sights of clubs across Europe. Dier was linked with a move to Bayern Munich back in November, while Hojbjerg is thought to be a target for Juventus. Lloris, on the other hand, could remain in the Premier League - he is thought to be a Newcastle United target, as the Toon look to ameliorate their injury woes between the sticks.

While Lloris, Dier and Hojbjerg have all been key players for Tottenham in the past, their playing time has greatly diminished under the stewardship of Ange Postecoglou. Lloris, for example, has not featured for Spurs in any capacity this season, having been completely usurped by the impressive Guglielmo Vicario.
Dier's playing time has just barely exceeded this, playing a total of three games in all competitions so far this season. Moreover, only two of the games he has played in have seen him feature in the starting XI.
Hojbjerg has played much more football than the other two this season, having played in 18 of Spurs' games thus far. Despite this, the Danish international has not scored a goal, nor has he racked up an assist. In addition to this, he has only started the Premier League games in the 2023/24 season.
It seems that Postecoglou is keen to stamp his identity onto Spurs' squad - sadly, this means that several of the old guard will be forced to move on. Hojbjerg will probably be the greatest loss of the trio, given his playing time, but he is far from irreplaceable.
