Arsenal missed out on the Premier League title to Manchester City this past campaign. The Gunners finished 2nd after their impressive season and will be hoping to go for the title again next year.

Tottenham Hotspur had a tough time of it and ended in 8th place. They failed to qualify for Europe which may well turn into a blessing in disguise as they can just focus on the league now as they hunt for a new manager.

Arsenal’s number one Aaron Ramsdale has missed out to Newcastle United’s Nick Pope, but that may be down to Shearer’s understandable bias towards the Toon Army. Centre-back William Saliba does make the cut though after his impressive showings following his return from his loan at Marseille in France.

Attacking midfielder Odegaard has established himself as one of Mikel Arteta’s main men and was a key factor behind the title charge. The former Real Madrid man, who is 24-years-old, scored 15 goals in 45 games in all competitions and will be looking to build on that.

Spurs’ Harry Kane enjoyed another successful season, despite his team being underwhelming. He fired in 32 goals in all competitions for Spurs and rightly finds himself along Haaland up top in Shearer’s team. The London club will face a battle to keep hold of him this summer amid links to other clubs and his current contract is up in June 2024.
