Attacker on radar

Arsenal have been ‘following’ the progress of Montpellier attacker Alye Wahi over recent times along with Ligue 1 side AS Monaco, as reported by French news outlet FootMercato. The Gunners will be looking at potential attacking additions ahead of the next campaign as they aim to add more competition and depth to their options in that department.

Wahi, who is 20-years-old, is a France youth international and could be seen as a possible long-term option at the Emirates Stadium after scoring 17 goals in all competitions this past term. He has been on the books of his current club since 2018 and has risen into their first-team after initially catching the eye for their B team and they will now face a real battle to keep hold of him in the near future.

Defender could leave

Arsenal defender Zach Awe is poised to ‘leave’ at the end of this campaign in search of senior football elsewhere and is attracting interest from clubs in the Championship, according to The Telegraph reporter Mike McGrath on Twitter. The 19-year-old’s pathway into Mikel Arteta’s side is blocked by the abundance of players they have at their disposal in his position at the back.

Awe has risen up through the academy ranks of the London club. He has been a regular for them at various youth levels over recent times.
