Matty Healy has gone viral on social media after stopping his performance to shout at slow security guards with his autotune still on at a venue in America.

The London-born vocalist, 33, is on The 1975’s At Their Very Best tour with his band mates; lead guitarist Adam Hann, bassist Ross MacDonald, and drummer George Daniel.

The band stopped in Phoenix, Arizona, last Wednesday (23 November), and during their performance of their 2018 track ‘I Like America & America Likes Me’, Matty stood on top of an on-stage roof.

The frontman soon noticed a fan falling somewhere in the crowd, and he blasted the Arizona Financial Theatre security for not helping them up quickly enough.

His shouts to the venue staff came out in a somewhat robotic voice, as the lead singer was still in autotune.

Matty said: "Someone’s fallen down over there. Go and f******’ sort ‘em out. Stop standing there like a bunch of d********s."

This isn’t Matty’s first time telling people off in a vocally-enhanced voice. During the same song three years ago, at a performance in Sheffield, he spotted fans fighting in the crowd.

“Oi, no f***ing fighting at my gig, f**k off,”he shouted.

The 1975 frontman also went viral earlier this month, when he was recorded eating a large chunk of raw meat on stage at the band’s New York gig.

Another viral video caputed the moment that the 33-year-old pulled a fan on stage and kissed her during the band’s performance of Robbers in Las Vegas.

The 24-year-old fan, who was wearing black leather trousers, confirmed the kiss was consensual in a Tweet following the show.
