Tube strike: Which lines are running as London hit by rail strike chaos

Londoners are facing massive travel disruption this morning as the biggest rail strike in 30 years takes place today.

Commuters this morning (Tuesday, June 21) faced huge queues for buses, as Tubeworkers walked out to coincide with the first day of this month’s RMT rail strike.

TfL has warned passengers to expect “severe” disruption throughout the day, with many lines and stations closed.

The limited Tube services running are set to be jam-packed, while bus services face long queues, with delays and traffic jams as people switch to making journeys by road and car.

TfL has advised passengers: “Where possible you are strongly advised not to travel today.”

DLR and Tram

There is a good service on the DLR and Tram lines.

Bakerloo

The Bakerloo line has no service today due to strike action.

Central

The Central line is part suspended.

Services are operating between White City and West Ruislip / Ealing Broadway, approximately every 20 minutes.

While trains between Liverpool Street and Epping / Hainault are running approximately every 10 minutes.

The service between Woodford and Hainault (via Grange Hill) is running approximately every 20 minutes.

TfL has said: “[There is] no service on the rest of the line due to strike action.”

Circle

The Circle line has no service today due to strike action.

District

The District line is part suspended.

Services are operating between West Ham and Upminster approximately every 15 minutes.

There is no service on the rest of the line due to strike action.

Elizabeth Line

There are severe delays on the Elizabeth Line.

A reduced service is operating between Paddington and Reading / Heathrow Airport and between Liverpool Street and Shenfield due to strike action.

Hammersmith & City

The Hammersmith & City line is suspended. There is no service due to strike action.

Jubilee

The Jubilee line is also suspended, with no service due to strike action.

London Overground

The London Overground is part suspended with severe delays.

There is no service between Romford and Upminster, and severe delays between Highbury & Islington and Clapham Junction / New Cross / Crystal Palace / West Croydon due to strike action.

A reduced service is operating on other London Overground routes due to strike action.

Metropolitan

The Metropolitan line is suspended. There is no service due to strike action.

Northern

The Northern line is part suspended.

Services are operating between East Finchley and High Barnet / Mill Hill East and between Golders Green and Edgware, approximately every 8 minutes.

There is no service on the rest of the line due to strike action.

Piccadilly

The Piccadilly line is suspended. There is no service due to strike action.

Victoria

The Victoria line is suspended. There is no service due to strike action.

Waterloo & City

The Waterloo & City line is suspended. There is no service due to strike action.
