TfL expects roads and alternative river crossings in east and central London to be extremely busy with long delays to journeys. The advice is if you need to drive, plan ahead, check before you travel and allow more time for your journey. If you need to cross the river, consider using crossings away from central London.

The Woolwich Ferry runs between 10.30am and 5.30pm on weekends but during this closure, you may not be able to board the first ferry as long queues are expected. The Congestion Charge zone will be in operation as normal.

Bus route 108

From 10pm on Friday until approximately midnight on Sunday, bus route 108 will not cross the river and instead will operate as two services either side of the river, terminating/starting at Canning Town and North Greenwich. To cross the river, use Tube and rail services. Auto refunds will be in place for bus 108 customers using the Jubilee line between North Greenwich and Canning Town.
