Transport for London (TfL) is temporarily closing five lines this weekend so that engineering works can be carried out.

The Circle, Jubilee, District and Hammersmith and City lines will not operate for a large part of Saturday November 11 due to work on a new signalling system.

The Metropolitan line will have a limited service, with no trains running between Harrow-on-the Hill and Aldgate.

The closures are scheduled to last until 3pm, with replacement buses put in place while the lines are shut.

TfL said the closures would allow testing of its new signalling system, called Four Lines Modernisation (4LM), which is set to be completed in 2025.

Full details on each line closure

A TfL spokesperson said: "The closure will facilitate testing of a transformative new signalling system that will improve reliability and journey times on these lines. Rail replacement bus services will be in place, but customers are advised to check before they travel and seek alternative routes on this day."
