Ed Sheeran: Shape Of You singer joins Snoop Dogg and Russell Crowe for wild night after tour show in Australia

Ed Sheeran let loose and enjoyed a wild night of partying with fellow A-listers Snoop Dogg and Russell Crowe after watching the rapper perform at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne.

Ed appeared to be enjoying some much-deserved time off having just announced details of his upcoming album release and a subsequent tour to go with it. Subtract (-) is set to be available from 5 May and the star has openly discussed that this album was written during a time where he was desperately struggling with his mental health.

The Shape Of You singer, 32, who owns a mansion in West London, spoke candidly to his over 40 million Instagram followers about being plagued with “fear, depression and anxiety” during his wife Cherry’s pregnancy in May 2022.

The unlikely trio headed backstage after Snoop Dog’s performance and were captured on camera enjoying alcoholic beverages and Snoop was seen puffing on a rolled cigarette, while joking with the ‘Perfect’ singer that he would be “smoking all your weed”.

After carefully watching the video, fans spotted a jar of suspicious green herbs perched on the table.

Snoop, who is well known for his love of cannabis, was pictured sitting in-between the two men laughing and joking and with his celebrity friends. The Gin and Juice star lives in California where recreational marijuana use is legal, and has employed a full-time joint roller since 2016.

In 2015, the rap artist launched his own platform called Merry Jane, a lifestyle media site that serves as an information hub for everyone interested in weed geared towards the occasional to the daily smoker.

The clip also shows Snoop gifting both Ed and Russel a chunky logo chain from his Death Row Records jewellery line. The chain is said to be worth $9600 AUD and Snoop is well-known for gifting this chain to his celeb pals. The last lucky recipient was Jamie Foxx, Snoop’s Daily Shift co-star. The two co-stars attended the red carpet premiere of their new Netflix action film together and Snoop took a moment to honour Jaime with the luxury chain.

He stated: “Yeah I got something for the Foxx man you know, for looking out for me, for speaking up for me, for putting me in this motion picture. I wanted to gift him with something special.”

Ed wasn’t the only one who bagged himself a reminder of the night, as Russell Crowe was also seen opening his gift.

Fans were delighted to see the unlikely celeb trio enjoying themselves and took to Instagram to comment.

One posted happily: “It’s impossible not to have a good time when you’re hanging with Snoop 😂 New Collab for the people please”.

Another commented: “Australia is the place to be atm!”

Some fans questioned where Harry Styles was as he is currently touring in Australia too “Where is Harry? He was in Sydney too,” one wrote.
