Adele revealed that it’s likely she would’ve become an English Literature teacher if she hadn’t become successful in music.

Adele said: “After Vegas I really want to get a degree in English Literature. If I hadn’t made it in my singing, I think I would definitely be a teacher. I think I’d be an English Lit teacher.

“I definitely feel like I use my passion of English Lit in what I do. But even though it’s not like I’d go on to get a job from my degree, I wish I had gone to university, I wish I’d had that experience.

“I won’t go to a university, I’ll do it online and with a tutor, but that’s my plan for 2025. It’s just to get the qualifications.”

Having recently released the music video for her new song ‘I Drink Wine’, Adele is set to begin her Las Vegas residency next month.

She announced the new dates in July after sparking fury among fans when she postponed shows at the last minute in January.

The singer shared details of the event with her almost 51 million Instagram followers, saying: “Words can’t explain how ecstatic I am to finally be able to announce these rescheduled shows. I truly was heartbroken to have to cancel them.

“But after what feels like an eternity of figuring out logistics for the show that I really want to deliver, and knowing it can happen, I’m more excited than ever!

“Now I know for some of you it was a horrible decision on my part, and I will always be sorry for that, but I promise you it was the right one. To be with you in such an intimate space every week has been what I’ve most been looking forward to and I’m going to give you the absolute best of me.

“Thank you for your patience, I love you ♥️ Adele.”

Adele will give 32 performances before her residency ends on 25 March 2023. Priority will be given to fans who bought tickets for the original dates and those who were added to a waitlist after registering their interest.
