A multi-faith service took place on Tuesday at the base of the high-rise in north Kensington, followed by a silent walk

A 72-second silence was held to commemorate the victims which included 18 children, and 18 balloons were released during the ceremony.

Many mourners wore green scarves and clothing, matching the green hearts that have become a symbol of the tragedy.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Sadiq Khan and Stormzy were amongst the many who came to pay their respects at the multi-faith ceremony.

The service followed a memorial at Westminster Abbey, during which bells tolled 72 times in memory of the men, women and children who died in the fire

Around 18,000 supporters participated in the silent walk from Notting Hill Methodist Church around Ladbroke Grove before returning to the base of the tower.

Many carried banners and placards which highlighted evidence from Kensington and Chelsea Council and cladding companies Rydon, Arconic and Kingspan highlighting failures to act.
