Hayes stabbing: Victim of fatal attack named by police as defendant appears in court

The victim of a fatal stabbing in west London has been named by police.

Jason Thompson, 54, from Hayes, was found with a stab wound to his neck early on Tuesday morning (July 11).

Officers attended the property in Melina Close, Hayes, after receiving reports of a man “acting erratically with a knife”.

Mr Thompson was found at the address, where, despite the efforts of emergency services, he sadly died.

Mr Thompson’s next of kin have been notified, and are being supported by specialist officers.

Adejuwon Olufemi Alexander Jnr Oyekan, 30, of Melina Close, Hayes, was arrested on July 11, and charged with murder the following day.

He appeared in custody at Westminster Magistrates Court on July 13, where he was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on July 17.
