Hayes stabbing: Murder suspect charged after 54-year-old man fatally stabbed in west London

The man was found stabbed in the neck in Melina Close, Hayes, and later died at the scene.

Detectives have charged a murder suspect after a man was fatally stabbed in the neck in west London earlier this week.

Police had attended a home in Melina Close, Hayes, on July 11 after receiving reports of a man “acting erratically with a knife”.

They found a 54-year-old man inside the property at 4.33am with a stab wound to his neck. He died at the scene.

Adejuwon Olufemi Alexander Jnr Oyekan, 30, of Melina Close in Hayes, who was known to the victim, was arrested the same day on suspicion of murder. Detectives charged him with the offence the following day, July 12.

Oyekan has been remanded in custody, and is to appear at Westminster Magistrates Court later today (July 13).
