A 65-year-old cyclist has been left in a critical condition after a collision with an e-scooter rider with “off-road” wheels who left the scene of the accident.
Police and paramedics rushed to Victoria Embankment at 9.53pm on Saturday, April 29, following reports of a collision.

They found a seriously injured 65-year-old cyclist opposite Somerset House.


He was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

His family have been informed.
The e-scooter rider was one of a group of around seven people riding e-scooters.
He was wearing a helmet with a visor and carrying a rucksack with LEDs on the rear showing a ‘Pacman’ logo.

While the e-scooter is described as having off-road type wheels.
Police say the rider is thought to have stopped and asked the man if he was okay, possibly in an Eastern European accent, before riding off.

Detectives from the serious collision investigation unit would like to speak with anyone who saw the collision or captured it on dash-cam footage.
