Brentford stabbing: Man accused of murdering heroic Ali Abucar Ali and attacking gran, 82, remanded in custody

A man accused of murdering a 20-year-old and stabbing an elderly lady has been remanded in custody.

Norris Henry, 37, allegedly killed Ali Abucar Ali and seriously injured 82-year-old Elizabeth Walsh in Hounslow.

Both victims were found suffering from knife wounds when police arrived at Albany Parade in Brentford before 8pm on Friday evening.

A fundraising page set up in Mr Ali’s memory has received over £71, 025 in donations after it was reported he was stabbed trying to save the elderly lady.

Mr Henry was arrested the morning after the attack and charged with the murder and attempted murder on Sunday.

Appearing at Uxbridge Magistrates Court yesterday, wearing a long sleeve grey sweatshirt, he removed his face mask to confirm his name and address.

Mr Henry of Brook Road South, Brentford, was remanded in custody to next appear at the Old Bailey at 9.30am on Wednesday.

Chief magistrate Evadme Cookman said: “Mr Henry, please go with the jailers now.”

Mr Henry confirmed he understood his case was going to be heard at the central criminal court on Wednesday.

Chairwoman Cookman said: “You have no right to appeal for bail.

“This case will be seen at the Central Criminal Court on the 17th at 9.30am.”
