Belvedere deaths: Alexander and Maximus De Jager were strangled inquest hears

Two young boys were found strangled and their mother discovered dead in the family’s south-east London home, an inquest has heard.
Nadja De Jager, 47, and her two sons Alexander, nine, and Maximus, seven, were found dead at their home in Belvedere on March 9.

Hide AdEmergency services were called to concerns for the welfare of occupants at an address in Mayfield Road in Belvedere.
Officers forced entry to the address and Nadja, Alexander and Maximus were pronounced dead at the scene by London Ambulance Service paramedics.


The following day, post-mortem examinations held at St Thomas’ Hospital gave a provisional cause of death for Alexander and Maximus as compression of the neck. This is pending further investigation.
The Met is not looking for anyone else in connection with the investigation.
