Women’s World Cup final: Watch England vs Spain in Victoria Park as part of All Points East festival

East London’s Victoria Park is set to host a screening of the Women’s World Cup final between England and Spain this Sunday (August 20).

Hide AdThe big game is being put on by Luno as part of the All Points East event, In the NBHD, in collaboration with Tower Hamlets Council and the mayor of London, Sadiq Khan.
Fans will be able to access the park from 10am, ahead of kick-off an hour later. Those wishing to attend must register their interest online via the official mailing list.
The game will be the first time the Lionesses will have played in a World Cup final, having won the Euros last year. The team beat one of the host nations, Australia, in the semi-final match on August 16, thanks to goals by Ella Toone, Lauren Hemp and Alessia Russo.

Mr Khan said: “London and our entire nation has been enthralled by the performances of our amazing Lionesses and this screening will bring thousands of fans together to roar on the team in their biggest game yet.
“The Lionesses’ run to the final - and hopefully to bring the World Cup home - will deliver a further massive boost to the popularity of women’s football in this country and inspire more girls and women to get involved in sport.

Hide AdAll Points East is due to take over Victoria Park for its fifth outing this year. The festival’s 2023 line-up includes Stormzy on August 18, The Strokes on August 25, and the free community-led midweek programme In the NBHD from August 20 to 23.
