Wireless Festival is back for 2022, and is regarded as one of the biggest music festivals in the UK.

The last event was slightly delayed for 2021, and pushed back to September due to some Coronavirus restrictions, but is back in the summer this year.

In previous years, the festival has played host to some of the biggest names in music such as Kanye West, Jay-Z and more.

When is the Wireless Festival at Finsbury Park?

At Finsbury Park, Wireless festival will begin on Friday, 8 July 2022 and will end on Sunday, 10 July 2022.

The festival also takes place in Birmingham and at another site in London, Crystal Palace, with the two sites being around 12 miles, and an hours drive apart.

What roads are closed?

With thousands flocking to Wireless this weekend, some roads will close to ensure the safety of the festival goers.

The road’s that will be such for a period of time over the upcoming weekend are:

Seven Sisters Road (between Hornsey Road and Green Lanes), and Stroud Green Road (between Seven Sisters Road and Tollington Park/Upper Tollington Park) will be closed between 10pm and 11:30pm on Friday and Saturday night, and 9:30pm and 11pm on Sunday, to allow those leaving the festival a safe exit.

The roads will be closed at all junctions joining Seven Sisters Rd between Hornsey Road and Green Lanes covering; Portland Rise, Brand Close, Alexandra Grove, Queens Drive, Wilberforce Road, Finsbury Park Road, Blackstock Road, Rock Street, Isledon Road, Coleridge Road, Yonge Park, Medina Road, Beriman Road, Thane Villas, Newington Barrow Way, Sonderburg Road, Durham Road, Pooles Park, Playford Road & Fonthill Road.

The roads will be closed at all junctions joining Stroud Green Road between Seven Sisters Road and Tollington Park / Upper Tollington Park covering; Wells Terrace, Morris Place, Lennox Road & Perth Road.

How can I leave the festival at the end of the night?

There is a purpose built exit that will be used at the end of the night, to allow people safe passage when leaving and to ensure an orderly exit.

The main exit gate will be located by Manor House Station, with the leaving queues expected to move at a fast rate.
