The Nightmare Before Christmas London: Phoebe Bridgers to star as Sally in live performance this Christmas

American musician Phoebe Bridgers has been confirmed to voice the role of Sally in the London performance of The Nightmare Before Christmas.

American singer and songwriter Phoebe Bridgers has been confirmed to perform in London this December and will be voicing Sally in the upcoming The Nightmare Before Christmas live show. Bridgers is no stranger to the spookiness of the film with both her albums having been laden with Halloween motifs upon their release.

This unique live cine-concert production taking place Christmas 2022 also features Danny Elfman, writer of the film’s songs and original singing voice of main character Jack Skellington. Elfman and Bridgers, along with the rest of the cast, will be performing live in sync with the full-length movie projected on the big screen accompanied by the BBC Concert Orchestra and very special guests.

Who is Phoebe Bridgers?

Grammy nominated Phoebe Bridgers is a singer/songwriter from Pasadena, California who has released two albums to critical acclaim and has worked with the likes of Fiona Apple, covering Simon and Garfunkel’s 1966 song 7 O’Clock News/Silent Night updated to reflect events in 2019 occurring in the United States.

Bridgers’ debut studio album, Stranger in the Alps, was released in 2017 to critical acclaim. In 2020, she followed it up with her second album, Punisher, to further critical success and mainstream recognition. Bridgers received four nominations at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist. In 2021, she received the Libera Awards as both Best Live/Livestream Act and Record of the Year 2021 for her album Punisher (Dead Oceans) by the American Association of Independent Music.
