Will the Sturgeon full moon be visible in London? - Here's the latest weather forecast
The Sturgeon full moon is this weekend, but will it actually be visible in London?
Londoners may be able to see a full Sturgeon Moon in the capital’s skies this Friday (August 8) and Saturday (August 9).
The August full moon, which gets its name from the fish species, will see the moon take on a reddish hue.
It will be the eighth full moon of the year following July’s Buck Moon and will come before September’s Harvest Moon.
While those in high-rise buildings could be lucky enough to see the lunar spectacle from their window, both weather and light pollution could affect how well you see it.
Here’s the latest London weather forecast for the weekend ahead of the upcoming Sturgeon full moon.
Sturgeon Moon London weather forecast
London is set to have clear skies across Friday into the evening and the early hours of Saturday.
In particular the Met Office has forecast visibility in the capital to be ‘very good’.
This means city locals have a good chance of seeing the full moon’s reddish hue without any distractions.
