One of the most popular reality dating shows on the UK TV calendar is back, as the eighth season of Love Island is to air on Monday, 6 June 2022.

In 2020, Love Island wasn’t aired in the summer for the first since 2014 due to coronavirus restrictions but made its return in 2021 as Millie Grace-Court and Liam Reardon won.

Amber Beckford is a 24-year-old nanny, and is set to be a contestant on series eight of Love Island.

Prior to her appearance on the show, she said on her video tape:

"I think it just feels like the right time.

"This year it definitely feels like it’s two feet in. I feel like now I’m most definitely ready, and wanting to look for a boyfriend."

Talking about her turn-offs, she added: "I don’t like guys that show off. I don’t like flashy, showy-offy guys - just have a personality and make me laugh. There was this one guy and he was trying to purposefully show off his car keys and we were literally in the middle of a restaurant."
